The Silver Bee Studio opened its doors in October 2019 and is located in rural South Lanarkshire in a converted barn.

My mission is to share my passion and love all of all things gilded! Having completed a Degree in Design History I was fortunate enough to complete an apprenticeship in a busy Antiques & Conservation studio on Oxfordshire, where I learnt the time honoured techniques and traditional skills of gilding and restoration of historical interiors, furniture and Objets d’art and other decorative surface finishes working for private clients, commercial dealers and notable auction houses.

I use only traditional techniques and materials for all restoration works, but I am just as passionate about giving new life to old and unloved pieces and giving the traditional a twist!!
